BOOKING A STUDIO
HOW IT WORKS
There’s no one size fits all spec for the equipment a rehearsal needs. That’s why instead of including a basic PA spec that doesn’t cover your needs we rent our rooms empty and chat to you about exactly what you need. If that kit comes from us then we offer it to you with a huge discount on the rental price. This way you get exactly what you need, and don’t end up paying for equipment you don’t, or that you end up piling in the corner when you bring your own production in.
Our rental inventory has all the best and latest kit from manufacturers like AVID, Allen & Heath, DiGiCo, Yamaha, Shure, D&B and L’Acoustics.
As these are all on site there are no transportation fees too, so if you’re hiring a lot of kit in then you could save most of the cost of the rehearsal on the savings you’ll take on equipment and delivery.
If you’re interested in booking a studio it’s very simple, just give us a call on 020 8066 5015, email us via [email protected], send us a message via the form on this website, or get in touch through our socials and we can discuss your requirements and put together a custom package that meets them.
WHAT MAKES OUR STUDIOS DIFFERENT?
OUR SPACES
Anyone who’s been here will tell you just how unique and special our studios are.
Our rooms aren’t just functional, they’re gorgeous! When we set out to build our spaces we did it with the ethos that became our motto – “Creative People Deserve Creative Spaces”. And that’s just what we’ve built – creative spaces with unique decor, artwork, comfy surroundings and home comforts, with all of the equipment, facilities and expertise that you need to feed your project.
OUR LOCATION
Set where London’s sprawling suburbia meets the countryside on the borders of Kent and Sussex, our studios are uniquely placed to be easy to get to but far enough out of the centre of town to avoid the hassle, noise and stress of busy streets, parking wardens, and the Congestion Charge.
Nestled between the towns of Biggin Hill, Coney Hall, and New Addington, our semi-rural location is well served for shops, takeaways, deliveries, and taxis.
OUR TEAM
Our team are enthusiastic, friendly, and professional individuals with different specialities but one clear goal, to ensure that we do everything that we can to make your session with us as positive, productive, enjoyable, and fruitful as it can be.
That’s true for every side of the business, but perhaps most obvious in our studios as you will see when you interact with them through everything from booking a studio to the session itself.
OUR EQUIPMENT
Some studios rent you an empty room, some provide you with a basic PA system or monitors with an old desk and mics included in the price.
In this day and age no one has exactly the same requirements and one package definitely does not fit all, so in recognition of that we decided to take a different approach.
Firstly, if you want to bring your own production with you then that’s absolutely fine. We’re happy to work with your team or just leave them to it if that’s what’s needed.
Being part of a full production company we have a comprehensive range of audio, stage, and production equipment including risers, backline, lighting and videowalls in-house, all from industry standard suppliers like DiGiCo, Yamaha, AVID, Allen & Heath, Shure, Sennheiser, Klang, Fourier, Waves, and so on.
These aren’t free, but they are heavily discounted whilst using our studios, and as the equipment is based here it comes with no delivery charges either. Likewise if you bring in your own kit but need a few more cables, stands, or if you want to try out some of our extensive range of mics or backline then it’s all here to be used.
PARKING & Access
There is plenty of space for free car parking on site. No traffic wardens, no yellow box cameras, no Congestion Charge – just unload, park your car, and forget about it as you concentrate on your session. No alarms every four hours to feed the meter. No keeping one eye on the street as you load in and out.
How nice is that?
Access for splitters is no problem, and you can load directly from our garage into the studios so you don’t even have to get wet if it’s raining. We have 16A shore power for splitters.
Truck access is fine too, so long as you follow the correct route. You can find a map showing this on our “how to find us” page, or get in touch and we’ll send it to you directly.
Double decker tourbuses are welcome and we have three phase 32A shore power for them. We’d ask for a little notice for these and big trucks, and may ask your driver to park 2 minutes away in a nearby industrial estate if they need to park up for prolonged periods of time out of respect to our neighbours.
There’s even a battery jumper on site should you go off on tour and come back to a flat battery. because we’ve all been there and that’s the last thing you need!
HOSPITALITY
We have filtered water and ice on tap, but also have an endless supply of Rington’s tea specially imported from the North of England’s finest tea fields in Yorkshire, alongside multiple fruit or flavoured teas, coffee, and other hot drinks.
You’ll always find soft drinks in the Green Room fridge, with biscuits, snacks and crisps refreshed every day you’re with us, so no need to pop to the shops for a drink or a little snack.
When it comes to meals, you can bring your own, or choose from the multiples of deliveries available (from Caribbean or African food to pizza, chicken, to kebabs or Greggs, there’s an endless selection of options).
If you’d rather we can cater for you, anything from cold or warm buffets to BBQ or a private chef or external catering, just let us know.
If your artist has a rider , get the list to us in advance and well have it ready and chilled for their arrival.
The Green Room has a washing machine and tumble dryer so you can step off the bus and wash your socks as you work or rehearse, or if you’d rather someone else did it for you so you can concentrate on your session then we can supply you with a studio assistant.
